Vancouver Radiant Run Recap

On Aug 24th our Vancouver, we love you project got bright. Literally.

The first ever Radiant Run was held at UBC and we had the best looking neon run crew there, rocking our bright Vancouver, we love you tanks (we may be biased). Our team showed up, checked in, and got glowing along with the hundreds of other runners, breaking glowsticks and creating braclets, necklaces and wands to light ourselves up. After a group shot (more like a couple… we like to take pictures) we joined the massive dance party at the DJ stage to get warmed up.

The course around UBC was great, and perfect for a family friendly fun run. Many of the people participating in the Radiant Run had never done any sort of run before and did a great job tackling 5K. The atmosphere was definitely one emphasizing the FUN of a Fun Run and perfect for all ages and running abilities.

The 5K course was illuminated with DJ and light stations, had glowing hula hoop dancers, electric dancing men, light tunnels, and more. If you weren't trying to get a personal best, there was definitely cause to stop and bust out a dance move or two every kilometer. The pre and post run entertainment on the start/finish DJ stage was super fun and helped us get pumped up before heading out on the course, and of course The Freshest kept the party going as people crossed the finish line.

Thanks to the Radiant Run team for having us be their on course 'social media maverick' reporting on all the event action, we can't wait to do it again next year!
