"There are very few better ways to spend a winter’s day with the family than a trip up Grouse Mountain. With our six year old son, Alex, squeezed into his snowsuit and our skates in the backpack, we boarded the tram for his first trip up the mountain. A nice lady offered Alex her seat right at the front and that gave him the thrill of spotting the three resident timber wolves."
"Every good Canadian kid should experience skating on an outdoor rink. Alex is just learning to skate and his skating is really a slow walk. He was very proud to complete a full lap of the pond."
"Next up was a ride on the sleigh for a very nice wintery tour around the mountain. It was the perfect length and after skating and the sleigh ride, we were all ready to head in for lunch. Joanna and I had a great sandwich and a bowl of soup and Alex had the grilled cheese with a hot chocolate. Great service and tasty food."
"And back outside we went. The clouds had parted and out came the blue skies. Alex found a small hill and created his very own luge track. Up and down. Up and down. Of course, screaming “Vancouver, we love you!”
This was a very special day for us and we can't wait to visit Grouse Mountain again!"
