A few of our Great Adventure Club members were able to head up to Grouse Mountain this week to take in the Peak of Christmas festivities that are currently on until Dec 24th. The magic began as soon as the gondola took off and we felt as though we were being transported into a winter wonderland. Arriving at the top we were greeted by a thick layer of white covering everything, snow carvings, people skating on the outdoor rink, and Christmas merriment all around.
If you're looking for a white Christmas this year, your safest bet is to go to Grouse Mountain's Peak of Christmas. Not only is it nice to escape the rain and have snow crunching under your feet and rosy cheeks and noses, but Grouse Mountain has done an excellent job of creating a festive Christmas Town at the top with plenty to do for visitors young and old. Our team loved all the fun outdoor activities - sleigh rides, outdoor skating, and live reindeer. And when we were ready to warm up everyone headed indoors to decorate reindeer antlers, watch Christmas classic movies in the theatre, and walk through the SOS Children's Gingerbread Village.
Here's a collection of some of the family activities you can experience as part of the Peak of Christmas. And a picture of a very Vancouver inspired yoga practicing reindeer.
The Peak of Christmas runs every day until December 24th. For a full listing of activities and special attractions, click here. Thank you to Grouse Mountain for letting us come and enjoy all the fun!
